Everyone needs exercise from childhood to old age, and there are many types of exercise. For example, walking, hiking, swimming, playing ball games, dancing, practicing martial arts, etc., but it's important to find an exercise that suits you. For instance, swimming is a great exercise, but if you're not physically fit, you won't be able to swim freely in winter; the same goes for dancing—people with poor balance will feel dizzy after being spun around a couple of times; even the simplest exercise, walking, won't be effective if your legs aren't flexible enough. Therefore, you can only find the exercise that best suits you.
My favorite place to go when I have free time is Bade Park. One day in April 2020, I was passing by Bade Park when I saw students from Yuanfu Qigong practicing. The music sounded nice, so I stopped. The students' enthusiasm, or you could say it was fate, finally brought me to Yuanfu Qigong – a sport that suits me perfectly. From that day on, unless I have something else to do, I always make sure to go to Yuanfu Qigong.
Master Weng of Yuanfu Qigong says: This exercise is simple and easy to learn. It has been diligently practiced for many years by dedicated practitioners, who have confirmed its health benefits. It can improve flexibility and improve physical constitution before being shared for everyone to practice for health. During practice recordings, Master Weng often says: "Those who are sick should practice it, and those who cultivate themselves should practice it," proving that practicing Yuanfu Qigong will make your body healthier!
There are many types of Yuanfu Qigong movements, some examples are as follows:
1. The Great Law of Heaven and Earth (Strengthened during extraordinary times): Straighten your body's energy upwards, separate your palms and draw a semi-circle, repeat five times.
2. The five elements' transformation of the four eight-beat sections (north, south, east, west, and center) was initially quite difficult. Due to the long duration of practice and my hip injury, I finally overcame the difficulties after 20 months of practice, which brought me great joy and a sense of enlightenment.
3. The "Sun and Moon Shining Together" exercise requires eye movement, two sets of eight counts. It's relatively easy to do. I've practiced breathing exercises before, which are quite different from Yuanfu Qigong. Every time we practiced, Supervisor Jinzhu would remind us to press our tongues against the roof of our mouths and tighten our anus and abdomen. After practicing for a while, I finally understand how important it is to press our tongues against the roof of our mouths and tighten our anus and abdomen! This allows the Qi to rise and achieve the desired effect.
The Yuanfu Qigong team is like family, as close as brothers and sisters. Every time we meet or after practice, we chat casually. Moreover, the supervisors are very caring, patient, and dedicated to the students. They are all volunteers, which makes us extremely grateful. Only the fortunate ones in this life can join this team. Having a team spirit brings team strength, which can increase the enjoyment of our lives and improve our quality of life.

The sun was shining brightly when I got up, so I went to Bade Park to exercise. I used to never exercise, and I would get out of breath after brisk walking and often strain my back. It was time for me to start exercising properly. I did brisk walking, stretching, leg raises, and running, but when I went to bed that night, my whole body ached. I wondered if I was exercising incorrectly. In the park's square, there was a round banner with auspicious symbols, and the senior students in uniforms were practicing exercises. The exercises looked stable, slow, and gentle, which seemed perfect for me, so I signed up.
Each supervisor was very polite, explaining, patiently, and meticulously instructing me on massage techniques. These days of continuous practice have been truly amazing. My eyes, which used to be sore, are no longer so; I sleep much better at night; and my complexion has become brighter and whiter. My eyes follow the movement of the sun and moon, and my gaze has become clear and bright. The Flying Leaf Qigong massage of acupoints promotes blood circulation. The Five Elements circulation, moving in all directions, opens up the muscles and bones throughout the body. The forward and backward movement of my feet sweeps away any tightness in my chest with each breath.
The rhythm of the wind, the opening of the chest, the flow of energy in both hands, a tingling sensation in the hands, the swaying from side to side, and the powerful, firmness of the legs. An hour of practice each day brings me joy and confidence. Some minor ailments from the past have been repaired and stabilized through daily practice, benefiting my entire body, mind, and spirit – a truly miraculous Yuanfu Gongfa.
After coming into contact with Yuanfu Gongfa and reading Teacher Weng's book, I learned that changing one's fate and improving one's health starts with one's state of mind. When the mind changes, the path changes. When one stops dwelling on things and starts thinking from a different perspective, and when one has good intentions and helps others, one's life journey will be different.
Yuanfu Gongfa benefits people and is well worth promoting. Practicing it slowly every day, taking care of your health, staying away from doctors, is a way to contribute to your family and society. I am also grateful to the instructors of Bade and all the fellow students for practicing together in harmony.

There's a banyan tree in Bade Park that's said to have spiritual power; it's a mother mouse tree. Learning Yuanfu Qigong there will help you reach a certain level. Students practicing Yuanfu Qigong receive guidance from three supervisors. It's important to cultivate good relationships, interact with each other, and help one another. If you have the chance, you can visit Wuji Jidi in Yizhu, Chiayi.
Yuanfu offers six types of exercises:
1. The Five Elements Transformation has greatly relieved my lower back pain.
2. Massage therapy has also greatly improved my eye and nose allergies.
3. The interaction of the sun and moon made my whole body feel relaxed.
Fourth, Flying Leaf Qigong is also very beneficial to the body.
5. The rhythm of the wind made me yawn, fart, and feel sleepy while I was doing it, clearing away impurities and retaining clarity.
6. When performing the Qi-movement Qi-transformation method, the whole body is involved.
Thank you all for your support. I wish you all a happy and fulfilling life!

Before I came into contact with Yuanfu, I had been seeing a traditional Chinese medicine doctor for a period of time to improve my health. The doctor said that I had qi deficiency and suggested that I practice qigong. So, by chance, I joined the Yuanfu group. In the past two years, I have been practicing qigong in the mornings. Gradually, I have found that I have become more energetic. Even my friends around me feel that my spirit and complexion are much better than before.
During my practice, I remember one time I had a very uncomfortable headache. That morning, I was practicing the Five Elements Qi Infusion into the top of my head, and I found that there was a warm sensation on the top of my head that could slowly relieve my headache. I began to slowly realize that these simple movements all have their uses, and I could feel the wonder of the practice, especially when I was feeling unwell.
Therefore, I think Yuanfu Gongfu is very suitable for me. It doesn't require memorizing too many movements, and the practice process can calm the mind. If you persevere, you can gradually experience its benefits. I believe everyone will have their own insights.
Students at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall
Every Saturday, I practice the exercises at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, and then I practice at home every day on my own. But diligent practice brings unexpected benefits! This has been something I've experienced.
I've had a tumor between my right index and middle fingers for over twenty years; it's an occupational hazard that prevents me from even lightly clapping, and it would hurt. But since I started practicing this exercise, I don't know when I'll clap my hands without pain, and the tumor has shrunk. I have even more confidence now!
So I am truly grateful for Teacher Weng's guidance, and also for Yuzhi for bringing me into Yuanfu. Perfect happiness!

Although I initially joined Yuanfu to improve my physical fitness, along the way, Yuanfu gradually broadened my horizons and changed my thinking. There are higher goals in this world beyond worldly affairs.
The Five Treasures of Yuanfu mention:
Health: Unobstructed meridians lead to physical and mental well-being. Freedom: Contentment with what comes, and a profound understanding of cause and effect.
Longevity: Harmonizing Qi and achieving balance, resolving right and wrong. Enlightenment: Understanding principles and illuminating the inner self.
Returning to the Source: Gathering vital energy and returning to the true nature, hoping to restore the source.
These points to a clear path, and I am now slowly and steadily correcting myself, cultivating my mind and body, and moving towards my goal. I hope that in addition to benefiting myself, I can also benefit others and contribute to this world.

This year, 2020 (the Year of the Metal Rat), has been a year of many disasters and misfortunes. It is now almost over, and everyone has passed through it peacefully and smoothly. This shows that those who cultivate themselves are very dedicated. The path of cultivation is not easy; there are often obstacles. We must diligently change our perspectives and thoughts to stabilize our minds. This way, when problems arise, we can handle them with a calm mind.
So how do we learn to transform ourselves? First, we must maintain a sufficient amount of good energy. We must diligently do our homework every day: dynamic exercises/static exercises/reading (Yuanfu books) to gradually expel the turbid energy from our bodies. After that, the energy will slowly accumulate and rise into our own strength. With this strength, we will naturally have the ability to change our mindset/thoughts and think positively to do the right thing.
Next year, 2021 (the Year of the Ox), if everyone continues to diligently practice according to Teacher Weng's philosophy, you will surely reap great rewards in both body and mind, especially in terms of physical health. Personally, I believe that spiritual practice ultimately depends on oneself. If one doesn't strive, there will never be room for progress, let alone how to help others. Therefore, in the new year (2021), we must continue to diligently practice, starting with our own kindness, trying to change our thinking and enhance our own energy.
The pandemic situation in 2021 is still very serious. Everyone should continue to strengthen their physical training and take good care of their health. Let's all keep going!

Initially, I came into contact with Yuanfu Gong in pursuit of health. Later, I learned that the "Yuanfu Gong Dharma Assembly" mainly focuses on circulating the air, helping to purify the magnetic field of the environment, and promoting the "Five Treasures of Yuanfu": health (cultivating the body), freedom (cultivating the mind), longevity (cultivating Qi), enlightenment (cultivating one's nature), and returning to one's source (cultivating the spirit). In Yuanfu Gong, one can not only practice to strengthen oneself and help others, but also build good relationships and teach others to practice. At higher levels, one can use one's own energy to help others cleanse their negative energy, achieve health, enhance their own energy, find their true self, and understand where they come from and where they are going.
After coming into contact with Yuanfu, I learned about Qi and its effects on the human body. I realized that only by changing my constitution can I achieve health. So I made up my mind to practice diligently every day and persevere. Along the way, I experienced countless positive reactions. I knew in my heart that this was a good thing. Since I knew it was the right path, I would continue to persist and believe that one day my body would be truly healthy.
Yuanfu Travel differs from typical group tours; it's not about leisure but about educational energy cultivation. Students apply what they learn in books to real-world outdoor experiences. Instructors personally lead students to various locations to gather and transform energy. I remember one trip to southern Taiwan, staying overnight at the Nankunshen Five Mansions Thousand Years Hall. That night, the instructor took us to experience the nearby energy field. He explained that in the stillness of the night, earth energy rises, and spiritual energy also emerges; both are potentially attainable. He emphasized that the most important elements of a temple are its deities and incense burner, and instructed us to touch the burner. That time, I felt a strong, electric current flowing from my fingertips, circulating within my body. I could still feel it when I fell asleep; it was a truly wondrous experience.
The Immortal Elder series of channels and books conveys virtuous knowledge, purifies the soul, and helps people cultivate their minds. Only after in-depth study can one truly understand the profound and extensive nature of the "Five Treasures of Yuanfu," a scope worthy of a lifetime of research and pursuit. I am fortunate to study the Immortal Elder's books with the Yuanfu students, experiencing firsthand how the books and practices complement each other and are indispensable. From the books, we learn the theory of cultivation, putting it into practice, encompassing both external "dynamic and static exercises" and internal "moral cultivation." We experience various sensations of Qi during practice and practice the principles of being a good person through real-life interactions.
There's a line in the book that goes, "Everything we've experienced has only added to our experience. Savoring hardship is a blessing, and being grateful for these hardships is how we grow." Life's journey is often filled with twists and turns, and the difficulties are like mountains, one higher than the next. Fortunately, I've cultivated myself in Yuanfu, so when I encounter setbacks, I face them bravely with an optimistic and positive attitude, treating them as tests to refine my mind. When faced with difficulties, I often remind myself to calm down first, think things through before coming up with a solution, and not rush into action. I think thrice before acting, and I overcome each obstacle, allowing me to handle both work and life's challenges smoothly and satisfactorily.
Joining Yuanfu is my blessing, and being a member of Yuanfu is a source of pride. Making the right choice and walking the right path, my teachers are like a guiding light in a vast ocean, illuminating my life's direction. No longer lost, with clear goals, I forge ahead bravely. Meeting Teacher Weng and joining Yuanfu is truly a stroke of incredible luck, a complete blessing!

Understanding of concepts
Humans are subject to birth and death, and life has varying lengths; this is a natural law. We all follow the laws of nature, passing through the great cycle of reincarnation to arrive in the mortal realm, beginning our turbulent lives, transitioning from our innate nature to our acquired nature. Then, we use this great arena of the human world to cultivate ourselves, hoping to elevate our innate spirituality, return to our original state, and ascend to a higher realm. This is the essence of a successful life, and a major purpose of human existence. With this understanding, how can we not cherish our time as human beings and diligently cultivate ourselves? Unfortunately, most people only understand and accept the principles of the human world, and their vision is limited to their present life. If we could broaden our perspective, take a step back, and accept that reincarnation is a cycle, and that a human life is merely a phase in a long journey, an experience, wouldn't life be much more fulfilling?
My biggest realization this year is a deeper understanding of "concepts." What is the most important factor, so important that it can influence a person's entire life? What influences a person's choices? And what determines whether a person succeeds or fails in life? Based on my own life experience and understanding, the key factor lies in whether one has the right concepts and thoughts. Concepts influence a person's choices, and different choices lead to different results. Therefore, concepts determine whether one succeeds or fails in life. And what constitutes success and what constitutes failure is determined by a person's own thoughts and concepts—"one's own perception of success and failure." So, the more correct one's outlook on life is, the more successful one's life will be; they are inextricably linked.
My biggest progress this year has been in examining my own heart, frequently observing my own mind, exploring myself, and becoming self-aware. I've come to realize that many things, even those that seem like other people's problems, are actually rooted in my own inherent beliefs and preconceived notions, often with my own problems being the bigger issue. By peeling back the layers, I've become aware of my inner self, trying to understand whether I've unconsciously received too many unreasonable suggestions from people and events in my life and environment, forming irrational or biased viewpoints that influence my actions, and whether I have too many preconceived notions that are far removed from the truth.
Whether practicing dynamic or static exercises, a calm and still mind is essential for success. How do I cultivate this calmness and stillness? When I experience emotions—whether worry, fear, frustration, setback, or joy—when my emotions are turbulent and unsettled, it's a good time to observe my inner self, engage in self-awareness, and let go of irrational beliefs. I examine whether my viewpoints are reasonable, where irrational ideas come from, and how I've been influenced and constrained without realizing it. I make choices between reasonable and irrational beliefs, letting go of outdated notions to maintain more accurate perspectives. Through acquired self-awareness, I overcome the blind spots of innate thoughts and undertake a project of mental reconstruction.
Poverty of mindset is also poverty of the soul, a true poverty. Gains and losses in wealth are manifestations of cause and effect, experiences in life, meant to be learned and understood. They do not represent true poverty. If one can withstand the test, transform one's mindset, and freely enjoy the gains and losses of life, one can change one's circumstances and unknowingly increase one's spiritual wealth. There is profound wisdom hidden between having and not having. Therefore, my deepest realization this year is that correct mindset helps us make better and more correct choices, thus increasing our chances of a more fulfilling life.

In my spare time, through reading and listening to books that enlighten my mind, as well as reading Teacher Weng's selected works and his compilation of the Heaven and Earth Classic, my mind gradually became clearer. I seemed to gradually understand the true meaning of life and unconsciously put it into practice in my life, making continuous adjustments.
This made me feel so happy and lucky. I felt at peace and found my direction and goals in life. More importantly, I gradually learned to balance the gains and losses in real life and understood that this life is just a process of being a human being. But life is full of opportunities to choose, and we create our own causes and bear our own consequences. Everything is a presentation and enjoyment of our own choices and actions.
I am grateful for this wonderful opportunity in my life, and thankful to have met a wise teacher who imparts the truth to me. I will encourage myself to study and cultivate myself more diligently, to advance in both spiritual and physical endeavors, to increase my positive energy, and to bring blessings to myself and others. In my daily life, I will serve and practice, promote the concept of bringing blessings, spread wisdom and goodness, discover and utilize my abilities, and elevate my spiritual energy and character.
A fulfilling and blessed life is considered the epitome of a successful life. A life of complete happiness!
