Key points of practice:
I bow in reverence and bestow blessings: May you enjoy perfect happiness!
Starting position: Face south (facing forward is south, facing backward is north, facing left is east, and facing right is west). Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, hands behind your back at the base of your neck, in a relaxed position. Relax and be natural, eyes focused on the area between your eyebrows, tongue touching the roof of your mouth, and lips closed.
1. Southern Fire: Stand with feet together (attention posture), calm your mind and relax your muscles; move your left foot half a step to the left, toes to the left, and step your right foot forward. Extend your arms horizontally to shoulder width (palms down, push forward and pull up to your forehead, then pull back), making circles with your hands, and follow your eyes with your hands; at the same time, assume a lunge position (right knee should not go past the toes), tighten your anus and abdomen, and relax your body from front to back.
Four sets of eight beats, totaling thirty-two beats. Absorbing the pure Yang energy of Heaven.
2. Northern Water: Pull your right foot back to the side of your left foot, forming an inward toe shape. Turn to the left and face north. Step your left foot forward and to the left. Pull your hands out horizontally, shoulder-width apart (palms down, push forward and pull up to your forehead, then pull back). Make circles with your hands, and follow your eyes with your hands. At the same time, assume a lunge position (left knee should not go past the toes). Lift your anus and abdomen, then relax your body.
Four sets of eight beats, totaling thirty-two beats. Absorbing the positive yin energy of the earth.
3. Dongfang Mu: Pull your left foot back to the side of your right foot, turn to face east, and step your right foot forward to the right. Pull your hands out horizontally with your shoulders shoulder-width apart (palms down, push forward and pull up to your forehead, then pull back), making circles with your hands and following your eyes; at the same time, assume a lunge position (your right knee should not go past your toes), tighten your anus and abdomen, and relax your body from front to back.
Four sets of eight beats, totaling thirty-two beats. Absorbing the essence of sunlight.
4. Western Metal: Pull your right foot back to the side of your left foot, forming an inward toe shape. Turn to the left and face west. Step your left foot forward and to the left. Pull your hands out horizontally, shoulder-width apart (palms down, push forward and pull up to your forehead, then pull back). Make circles with your hands, and follow your eyes as you step into a lunge position (left knee should not go past the toes). Lift your anus and abdomen, then relax your body.
Four sets of eight beats, totaling thirty-two beats. Absorbing the essence of moonlight.
5. Central Earth: Pull the left foot back to the right foot, turn the body to the left to face south again, stand with both feet together, look forward, palms down and draw circles with both hands from both sides at the same time (draw circles from the outside to the top of the head above Baihui, then the middle fingers of both hands touch and go down to Dantian).
Four sets of eight beats, totaling thirty-two beats. Absorbing the positive energy from all directions and integrating it into the body.
6. Regulate Qi: With palms facing up (first draw a small circle below both hands) pull them to the chest (not exceeding the heart), then press down with palms facing down, repeating five times each way.
7. Lower Dantian: Place both palms together at the lower dantian (right hand on top, left hand on the bottom), and make five clockwise circles to the right, starting from small and gradually increasing, and five counterclockwise circles to the left, starting from large and gradually decreasing.
End of practice: The Qi returns to its natural state, and one returns to a relaxed posture.
The ritual for completing the Yuanfu ceremony is now complete! We bow in reverence and offer our blessings. Thank you all.
