Summary of key points from the Yuanfu Life Self-Growth Seminar

[Student Testimonials and Reflections]

    I. Wu Yawen

I came into contact with Yuanfu last summer and started practicing Yuanfu Qigong in September, and I've been doing so ever since. The biggest difference between me before and now is that I understand the truth better, which allows me to shift my mindset when facing difficulties in daily life, and prevents me from getting stuck on道理 (principles/reasoning) and getting troubled.

I'm a mother, and I often feel overwhelmed when it comes to disciplining my child. When I first met Teacher Weng, I would often tell her, "I frequently lose control of my emotions because I can't manage my child. I have love and patience, but I lack the wisdom to handle our relationship." Teacher Weng would always ask me, "Do you want to take poison? Why don't you just drink a cup of coffee and not hurt yourself? Isn't that better?"

At the time, I couldn't understand that the teacher was telling me a truth. Now I do. Parents often blame themselves for their children's various situations and behaviors, believing they haven't taken good care of them. If something goes wrong with their child, they become even more consumed by self-blame and sadness. However, if we understand that everyone has a purpose in life, and that everyone has their own personality or habits that need correction—meaning everyone is an independent individual—and our role is simply to offer guidance and assistance, then we don't need to take on our children's problems and feel guilty and sad. Understanding this truth can change our mindset and prevent us from being trapped in a cycle of self-blame.

On page 31 of the teacher's book, "Ling Lai Ling Qu," it says: "If you expect too much and hope too much, you will have too many worries and be too tired. It's better to help it go its own way, let it take its natural course, and let everything take its course naturally." We should look at everything with a calm mind. It's okay to get angry, but don't hold it in your heart for too long, that is, don't hurt your heart. We should know how to use emotions, make good use of them as our functional energy, help our hearts transform, gain experience from them, and experience the ups and downs of life.

The truths found in books can help us overcome difficulties and are truly worth exploring together. Books can help us think and believe correctly, and when we think and believe correctly, we are accumulating merit without even realizing it.

Of course, when we take care of others, shouldn't we first take care of our own body, mind, and spirit? Only then can we radiate a positive aura and give positive energy to others. Qigong can transform negative energy into positive energy, and when our mindset is correct, we can guide children in the right direction.

Over the past year, I've undergone significant changes, both physically and mentally. Like everyone else, I've experienced the ups and downs of life, constantly facing challenges. Instead of complaining or lamenting, I've learned to reflect on myself and examine what I'm lacking that has hindered my life. Is it a lack of gratitude? Or a flawed perspective?

I kept adjusting myself like this. Later, I came across Yuanfu and learned that if one's spirituality is to rise, the first step is to have the ability to self-reflect, to know one's own cause and effect and everything else, and to be willing to change in order to break free from the cycle of cause and effect, to enjoy cause and effect, and to change one's destiny for the better. More importantly, it's easy to change one's mindset if one smiles every day.

Yuanfu Qigong is simple to learn, yet incredibly effective. For example, I had severe constipation, a problem I'd had since childhood. After practicing for only a few months, my constipation was resolved! My initial posture wasn't quite correct; I didn't properly press my tongue against the roof of my mouth or contract my anus and abdomen, yet it still worked! It's truly amazing.

Last June, I experienced a significant change in my body. My period stopped for six months. I asked Teacher Weng to check on me to see if there was anything wrong. She said my blood and qi were stagnating in my chest, and if not handled properly, it could cause serious problems. After that, my periods returned intermittently, but the flow and amount were irregular. Then, I missed another six months, so my husband took me to see a gynecologist. The doctor said I was likely going through menopause because I had undergone ovarian surgery and my ovaries were probably no longer functional. Although shocked, I had to accept this fact. However, this October, my period returned, and the flow has been normal ever since. This confirms that Yuanfu Qigong is effective.

I thought about it carefully, and realized that I usually do things that are good for my health. I realized that the only thing I do is practice Yuanfu Qigong! So Yuanfu Qigong really is helpful.

I'd like to share a concept with you all. Although Teacher Weng can help us, the most important thing is for us to cultivate our own Qi and take care of our bodies. Cultivating oneself means making our bodies healthy! Only after cultivating oneself can we talk about nurturing one's nature. On page 298 of Teacher Weng's "Transforming the Mind and Body," it mentions: "If one can cultivate, the body can use the circulation of internal Qi to help the internal organs move, making the regenerative functions of the physical organs more robust, thereby achieving longevity, and allowing one to live a more fulfilling and comfortable life."

Therefore, there is a way to achieve longevity, which is through cultivating one's inner energy. When our bodies are healthy, our minds are mentally sound, and our spiritual thoughts are correct, we can handle things with peace of mind, wisely deal with the difficulties we encounter in life, create a harmonious atmosphere in our families, and then influence society from our families. I believe that the goal of a world of perfect happiness and harmony is just around the corner.

Yuanfu offers methods for health, freedom, and longevity. With dedication and consistent practice of simple things, you can definitely improve yourself. Welcome to practice Qigong, explore truths together, cultivate yourself, and then help others. Finally, I hope you won't miss this opportunity. Thank you! May you enjoy Yuanfu!

    II. Liu Guiying

Ten months ago, I was diagnosed with a liver tumor. I've always been a very indifferent person because I live in a large family, which has made me very sullen and repressed. I tend to be submissive and endure things passively, which is not a good personality trait. So, I need to be more optimistic in the future and not keep everything bottled up inside. As my supervisor just mentioned, bottling things up for too long can easily lead to tumors. I've experienced this firsthand, so it's definitely true.

Moreover, I originally wanted to live peacefully with the tumor, but the doctor assessed that I had a chance to stand up again. As a result, after a major surgery, I feel it is a great honor to be able to share my experience with you all today. After my surgery, I rested for a month or two, and a friend introduced me to Yuanfu Qigong. I thought since I was resting anyway, I might as well try practicing Qigong. In the first three months, I felt so tired! I felt a bit overwhelmed, but the supervisor said that was normal and told me to continue practicing.

By the fourth month, I noticed a tingling and burning sensation in my palms while brisk walking, as if my body was undergoing some changes. I asked my husband, who was also brisk walking, and he said it was probably an allergy, as he didn't experience this. Later, I asked my supervisor and the president, and they congratulated me, saying I was starting to feel my Qi moving! I was very grateful, and I continued to practice diligently. Although the president only came to the three-level session once a week, I practiced every day. By the sixth or seventh month, I felt as strong and healthy as an ox again. Some friends found it hard to believe I recovered so quickly, and even some patients asked me what I ate to help me recover so fast.

I was hesitant to say I was practicing Yuanfu Qigong before I could confirm I was truly healthy. But now, I've experienced real benefits, and my health checkups have passed. Only then did I tell a few friends, "Go practice! Go practice Yuanfu Qigong!" I want to tell everyone that I've truly benefited, so please join us in practicing. I believe Yuanfu is a practice that can bring you health and a fulfilling life. Thank you!

    III. Xu Yuchuan

My name is Yu Chuan. People often mistake me for a boy, but I've gotten used to it and am actually grateful to my father for giving me this easy-to-write name. I want to share my connection with Yuanfu Qigong. Last year, I worked for a health company, and my boss suggested we visit the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, saying there were many sports groups there, and we could share our company's products with them. One weekend, I actually went, and that's how this connection came about! On my left, I met a handsome guy who gave me a flyer for Yuanfu Qigong; on my right, I met a beautiful woman who also introduced me to Yuanfu Qigong. That's how I met Mr. Hong and Gan Lin. Since then, I've been learning and practicing on weekends, and it's been over a year now.

What I want to especially share is that health is truly important. The body naturally possesses Qi (vital energy), but in today's busy lives, we completely forget our own existence. During the practice, I truly experienced wonderful sensations. Our company chairman even invited Ganlin and others to lead a team to teach Yuanfu Qigong at our company. I feel a profound sense of this every time I practice; it's something everyone should be born with, so why do we lose it? Therefore, I cherish my practice very much.

During this process, many partners listened to my sharing, and some even suggested practicing in another office in Jiangzicui. Now we are practicing in the courtyard square of the rural park. If any of you have relatives or friends living near Jiangzicui, you are welcome to come and practice with us. It's true, this qigong is very good. What the partners shared earlier is true, and all the practice is something you can only experience yourself. You can only hear about it from others, and that's their experience. So we are very grateful for this opportunity.

What I really want to mention is that on Saturday mornings, after our practice at the Sun Yat-sen Memorial Hall, we went to Master Weng's "Yuanfu Classroom" on Siwei Road in Banqiao to attend a class. I found this course invaluable; Master Weng imparted a great deal of wisdom to us in a short time. I cherish every class session. And, in fact, it's impossible not to have gained something this year, because I'm feeling more and more strongly about Qigong as I practice. Now, I burp and fart every time I practice, but I'm not afraid because I know it's my body expelling stagnant energy.

So I especially remember a saying from Teacher Weng: what Yuanfu Qigong practices is to enable our bodies to transform and replenish Qi. There are good and bad things in the world, but Qigong that benefits our bodies is something we are truly grateful for. The key is to expel impurities from our bodies. Look at our busy daily lives; we don't even know how much waste we ingest. But through practices like Yuanfu Qigong, we can truly expel these wastes from our bodies.

I enjoy sharing, regardless of whether someone is a thinker, educator, musician, or anyone else. I consider myself a happy sharer because anything good can be shared with family and friends, bringing positive energy to everyone. Then everyone can practice it themselves, because only through personal practice can one reap the rewards. I'm happy to share blessings with family, friends, and even strangers. Why? Because this world is one family, and everyone's health is happiness.

Therefore, I cherish this opportunity and am very grateful for it. I am certain that this is a wonderful connection. We would not have met if we were not destined to be together. The fact that we are gathered together today is a wonderful energy. I am very grateful to Teacher Weng. Sometimes, a few words from him are very helpful. I personally feel that they are very profound. I will share them with you all, and I hope that you will do the same and share them with your friends and family. Finally, I wish you all happiness, joy, and good fortune!

[Summary and Explanation]

    Teacher Weng:

In our fourth section, we have "Flying Leaf Qigong," which is a convenient treatment method and also acupressure therapy. When you practice to a certain level and have sufficient internal energy, you can manage ailments and eliminate your own illnesses. We've mentioned that if you practice to a high level and have enough internal energy, you can sense where your illness is located and use acupressure to treat and transform it. But the prerequisite is that you must truly reach a certain level of proficiency!

Have you noticed that most of the courses outside focus on the growth of mind, body, and spirit? Does it feel a little different? Why does Yuanfu emphasize "Qi" and "Sex"?

At that time, we discovered that the common belief is that with a holistic approach encompassing body, mind, and spirit, taking care of physical health is sufficient. However, this focus on the body and mind is largely acquired. We realized that physical and mental health alone is insufficient without energy. We believe that only by cultivating one's inner self and internal energy to a sufficient degree can one transform oneself, develop the spiritual essence and wisdom within, and apply it effectively. Furthermore, one must maintain spiritual clarity, free from interference from unseen influences. Therefore, true health requires unobstructed meridians and a peaceful mind and body. This is how the Five Treasures of Perfect Blessing came about, essential for a fulfilling life: health, freedom, longevity, enlightenment, and returning to one's origin.

We wish there were fewer hospitals. I often visit hospital intensive care units, and what I see there saddens me. Why? Because of a lack of attention to exercise. Sometimes exercise is improper or incorrect, leading to many illnesses. In our exercise and practice, we must use correct methods to avoid injuries. Sports injuries aren't just about bones and muscles; sometimes they include psychological and mental ones. Many people are misled by incorrect beliefs, and these misconceptions can become mental obstacles, which are also illnesses. That's why many diseases are difficult to cure, especially many mental illnesses. Why?

There are too many incorrect thoughts and ideas, not just schizophrenia. Now there are far too many panic disorder, bipolar disorder, and a whole host of delusions. The names of illnesses are also increasing. In essence, they all boil down to mental problems. It's just that the thinking is incorrect. If one can change their thinking, shift their perspective, and also have spiritual connections to help them let go, then the illness can be cured.

Next, we'll look at the basic steps and fundamental skills of Self-Nature Spirit. We say you should practice the first three forms first to build a foundation before practicing Self-Nature Spirit. Today, we're just looking at the basic skills. Why are basic skills important? Because I've noticed that many self-initiated exercises outside the body look beautiful when performed, but they injure the body without the practitioner realizing it. Why?

Because his martial arts were caused by an external spirit possessing his body, they weren't something he had cultivated himself. I realized this wouldn't work, because our Yuanfu Gongfa eventually develops into the Self-Nature Spiritual Movement Gong. That's why I later designed these twelve basic forms to gradually build a solid foundation for yourself, practicing Qi movement before developing spiritual movement. Otherwise, being possessed by a spirit from the spiritual realm won't be of any benefit to you.

Therefore, we Yuanfu people must lay a solid foundation, first circulating our Qi, and only then can we realize our true nature and spirit. Our basic steps are twelve forms. If you practice them step by step, there will be a benefit in the end: you will help yourself develop wisdom. We say that the person is in Qi, Qi is in the person, the body and mind are at ease, and Qi moves and transforms with the body. After practicing, you will feel very comfortable, and many problems will be improved or eliminated.

Once you've mastered the basics, you can gradually cultivate your inner spirit. This way, you won't be disturbed by external spirits, because a person should be in control of themselves and not let external spirits possess them. Of course, if these spirits are powerful, you can interact with them directly, which is called psychic communication. Psychic communication is when external spirits communicate with us, projecting themselves onto us and communicating with us. While you may temporarily know many things through this communication, it's still completely controlled by the spirits.

But in our practice of cultivating blessings, once you reach a certain level, you will interact with spirit friends. After this interaction, you will have a clear understanding, and only then can you help others resolve their troubles. At that point, you will clearly know that this is something that belongs to your own spirit, something that your spirit has cultivated, and it is relatively accurate. This is called spiritual communication, and you will not mislead others. I would like to take this opportunity to report on this aspect of spiritual communication. Are there any questions or discussions later? If you have anything you would like to discuss with us, please feel free to bring it up.

Let's briefly talk about the Self-Nature Spirit. What is the Self-Nature Spirit? It's the movement of Qi. What is the movement of Qi? It's been over two hours, and everyone is still here. We're very happy, thank you all! [Applause] Since you've stayed here, I'll give you a treasure, okay? Are you willing? [Everyone shouts "Yes!" and applause resounds] This method sounds very simple, but it's something you need to achieve later in practicing our Yuanfu Gongfa. What are the benefits? After you learn it, go to your home and feel the magnetic field. If the energy field in a place is bad, you can rotate it, and the energy field will change for the better.

However, to know whether a magnetic field is good or bad, you need to practice first. Once you understand it clearly, you can use this method to change it, which will definitely help a lot. It can change the magnetic field in your home and change the energy field in your home.

Let me explain why we're doing this: we know that the most important thing for a person is their feet, especially for the elderly. Strengthening your legs will make them more flexible and your bones stronger. Strong legs lead to better health. If an older person's feet are unhealthy, other ailments will follow. There's a saying: "A tree's roots wither first when it ages, and a person's legs weaken first when they age." Whether you can live a long life depends on your legs. Taking good care of your legs is essential for longevity and health.

Now, let's talk about what "innate spirituality" means. To what extent do you need to cultivate it? Only when your entire body has energy is it true energy. Let me demonstrate. What they just practiced was basic skill, and it's already quite impressive. However, they are young; being able to squat and turn isn't that impressive. What's truly impressive is being able to sit and squat, and having a flexible and adaptable mind. As people age, their minds harden, they often can't adapt, and their thoughts become less flexible. Therefore, older people need to practice even more. If older people in this society are healthy and have youthful mindsets, then young people will be "happier" and can confidently work and fulfill their potential.

So how do you practice? Generally speaking, you practice until your Qi rises slowly. If you can truly achieve a state of calm and stillness, you will definitely have Qi. Once you are calm and have enough Qi in both hands, slowly pull your hands up, letting the Qi rise slowly to strike your own spirit. Begin with Wuji (the state of nothingness), where there are no obstacles in your heart. After the Qi moves, your feet will naturally turn; the Qi is drawn out, and naturally it will turn downwards. It's very natural; it's as if the Qi is in your philtrum, and you are in the Qi. Qi is in your body, and the Qi turns and moves. Eventually, your body feels boneless, soft and boneless. At this point, you will naturally strike your own spirit.

If you're interested, you're welcome to join the discussion. Let's explore together, okay? Thank you!

Cultivation is also a matter of fate.

Yuanfuren Weng Ruipei

Religion is one part, but it is more important in itself. Personal cultivation will guide one's direction, which is another realm, a higher realm.

Cultivation is a multifaceted activity. What does "multifaceted" mean? It refers to one's own mind, nature, and self-awareness. These are the basic cultivations of a person. Furthermore, one can develop a set of practices that can serve as a basis for oneself in the world. This is what must be guided by.

The basis for leadership is also a person's cultivation. Correcting one's shortcomings and elevating one's innate spirit is a special method that can further change a person's external and internal aspects.

There is a predestined connection between heaven and earth. What kind of connection is it? It is a connection of good karma. There is a kind of connection among people in the human world that cannot be separated by words. Have those with a deep connection ever felt this way? I believe some people have.

Because of this connection, we can all gather together, both for people and for Buddhas. It is an opening and a beginning.
