[Introduction to Yuanfugong]
Hello everyone, I'd like to briefly introduce the dynamic exercises we'll be discussing today. We want to report to you that over the years, through the verification of many people, we've proven that true health requires a healthy mind to engage the body and practice accordingly. Of course, physical health alone isn't enough; we also need a shift in mindset and perspective. Only then can the body be considered truly healthy. This is what we mean by holistic health – physical and mental well-being.
What do we, Yuanfu Wubao, cultivate? We cultivate health, freedom, longevity, enlightenment, and returning to our source; we also cultivate the body, mind, energy, nature, and spirit. As for health, there must be energy circulating in the body. Only after expelling the turbid energy from the body can the body be healthy. This is very important.
We need to exercise, and there are many kinds of exercise, such as modern Tai Chi, Daoyin exercises, or line dancing and aerobics. Of course, our Yuanfu Gong method is a little different from theirs. We believe that we are using cultivation and practice to create exercise, so the exercise may not look as beautiful, but it is very natural. For example, our first part, the Five Elements Transformation, has only two very simple moves, like rowing a boat. It looks very simple, but where does its function lie? It lies in the Five Elements, in the center, in the four directions, so that the Qi in our body can match the Qi between heaven and earth.
The Dynamic Qi Guiding Method consists of five parts: ① Five Elements Circulation, ② Sun and Moon in Harmony, ③ Heavenly Movement and Earthly Stillness, ④ Flying Leaf Qigong, and ⑤ Self-Nature Spiritual Movement Qigong. The highest level is Self-Nature Spiritual Movement Qigong. Actually, when we practice Flying Leaf Qigong, it's an acupressure technique. Generally, you can expel turbid qi from the body by pressing acupoints. However, before practicing Flying Leaf Qigong, you must first practice Five Elements Circulation. We actually practiced this for six years before moving on to the second part, Sun and Moon in Harmony, and then Heavenly Movement and Earthly Stillness.
Where did our techniques come from? It was through a chance encounter, through everyone's research and development, that we gradually developed and practiced them, rather than learning them from other techniques.
The five elements circulate in the directions of north, south, east, west, and center. If you can't find your way, just remember that south is in front, north is behind, east is left, and west is right. The main thing later on is to cultivate internal energy. After the central earth element circulates, you need to regulate the energy. Inhale and exhale, and gather the energy in the lower dantian (about three finger widths below the navel). Gather the energy in the lower dantian and circulate it. That's the first step.
The second part, "Sun and Moon Shining Together," involves practicing footwork and eye movements. The eyes follow the hands, keeping them focused on the hands as they move. Then, practice the feet as well, doing six sets of eight counts on each side, followed by an upward movement from the center, focusing on lifting the toes. Next, we'll practice tapping the Yin-Yang meridians of the feet, massaging the knees, regulating Qi, and concluding the exercise. OK!
Our foundational exercises consist of the first two parts, and the final part is the Self-Nature Dynamic Exercise, which is similar to what is now called spontaneous qigong, but it's different. Spontaneous qigong is when you calm yourself down and your qi moves. But our Self-Nature Dynamic Exercise requires many procedures. You need to cultivate until your own energy and qi are sufficient to move, and only then will the spirit move. When your self-nature is dynamic, it won't be influenced by external factors. This is how you cultivate your own self-nature to be dynamic.
What's so good about spontaneous spiritual movement? If you're feeling unwell or experiencing muscle stiffness, moving around a bit will make you feel much better. Of course, spontaneous energy cultivation is also good. In spontaneous energy cultivation, the external spirits help us first, but when you utilize what they give us, you should make it your own, and then transfer it to your own spirituality. This is much better. Don't keep being led astray by external spiritual friends, or you'll end up losing yourself.
MC: Now for our main event, the introduction of the new book! Let's give a round of applause. Welcome, Professor Weng, to give his presentation.
Teacher Weng: Dear officers and students, good afternoon. In 2005, which was also the 94th year of the Republic of China, I...I spent 100 days in seclusion at Wuji Jidi in Chiayi. During this time, I learned a lot because many people from the spirit world communicated with me in Taiwanese and Mandarin. I recorded some of these conversations, so after I came out of seclusion, I spent two years compiling them into a book.
It was really difficult to write a book in Taiwanese at the time. We consulted many resources and dictionaries, so our first book, "The Method of Transforming the Mind," was considered difficult to read by many, including intellectuals. However, to respect the original text, I tried my best to present it in its original language and audio. The important thing is that the book is published so that everyone can read it and that it records what many friends consider to be truths. Our purpose is not to sell books and make money, but mainly to present it to everyone. If you can read it, please take it home and read it. As for the money, it's not important. Just enjoy it as you see fit, because it would be a pity not to share such a good thing.
Today, our first book is "The Method of Transforming the Mind," which is in Taiwanese. It's difficult to read, but it's very valuable and may unintentionally help you a lot, providing significant assistance in an invisible way.
Let's take a brief look at the first chapter of the "Transformation of Mindset" and the "Great Harmony World." The second chapter covers the essentials of health. If you look closely, you'll find many valuable points within. The most important is the Great Wheel of Reincarnation in the Human Realm. Just as Heaven has its Heavenly Laws, the mortal realm has its own Great Wheel of Reincarnation, which is crucial. No matter how high one's spiritual level, even if the Jade Emperor descends to Earth to help, he still needs human assistance. Because the Great Wheel of Reincarnation in the Human Realm has its own rules, it is sometimes said that humans are greater than gods. Within this Great Wheel of Reincarnation, there is a law that no matter how high one's spiritual level, in this mortal realm, one must still act and interact with people through human connections.
So, who controls the great cycle of life? No one! It just keeps turning invisibly. We say it's about mutual transformation; in Buddhism, we talk about cause and effect, mutual transformation. No one knows who owes whom. That's how it is in the great cycle. Someone might have a very high position, but a beggar could easily bring them down. It's not always the case, right? That's why we talk about cultivation—cultivating until you achieve contentment and freedom. That's why we talk about a free and at ease mind.
Our most important goal is the Five Treasures of Perfect Blessing. These five treasures are cultivating the body, health, and freedom. After achieving health, one must attain freedom, and only then can one achieve longevity. Living a life without freedom and longevity, constantly filled with anger and resentment, is not good. Therefore, freedom is crucial. Only after achieving freedom and longevity can we discuss cultivating our nature, attaining enlightenment, returning to our source, and discussing spiritual matters. What are we cultivating? We are cultivating the body, mind, energy, nature, and spirit. Our Five Treasures of Perfect Blessing are about cultivating this!
And then there's our latest release, the "Spiritual Comes and Goes" booklet, which we're sharing with you today. You all probably have it, right? Let's turn to page ten. It says, "All things in the world are constantly changing, coming and going, with no end in sight, no fixed number. Tangible animals and all things are born and die in this cycle of mutual generation and transformation, and all have the opportunity to change bodies." You might ask, once a person is alive, is everything alright after death?
In reality, even after death, the spirit lives on. The spirit can truly be felt. When your Qi cultivation reaches a certain level, your spirit can communicate and understand to a certain degree, allowing you to know or sense spiritual power and energy, and thus understand what the spirit is. Over time, the spirit also needs to change bodies. Therefore, our physical body in this dimension may change to a different body in another dimension. Of course, we humans have a physical form, while the spirit is intangible but has form and shadow. Some dimensions have form and shadow; each dimension is different. There may be hundreds of intangible dimensions, including hell. The realms are of varying heights, with the intangible and boundless realms being the highest. However, anything above the boundless realm is simply beyond our awareness; we haven't cultivated to that level. Therefore, it's not certain which realm in the world is the most powerful or the highest!
We often say that people don't need much. What's important is having a few houses and tens of millions in cash. That's enough, right? To live happily, without physical pain or worries, that's enough, isn't it? But people get old. Where do we go when we get old? Of course, we hope our souls go to a better place, to die peacefully, to find a good place, a place with a higher state of being.
We have confirmed this: the spirit can be reborn and perish again, and has the opportunity to change bodies. Spirits come and go, endlessly existing in countless spaces in the universe. Humans come and go, but why do we come into this world? What do we seek? This book discusses many of these questions about the relationship between humans and the spirit.
Just like the spirits in the unseen realm, they too are cultivating themselves. What are they cultivating? They don't care about wealth and profit; they focus on a charitable heart. They want to help people in the world, but people in the world also have to pay a price. They want to glorify themselves and gain glory! They usually borrow those names to help others. Actually, Guan Yu, Nezha, and Buddha are all very busy, and there aren't that many Mazu goddesses. There really aren't that many. Most of them are spirits who have that charitable heart and use their names to help people.
The statues are like houses for the spirits; they come and go. Over time, they might move, but we humans don't know, nor do we know who moves in. So sometimes, a spirit only stays in the same temple for a few years; spirits come and go, changing without our knowledge. Just like us humans, is this body entirely ours? Not necessarily! If you control it well and take good care of it, it is ours. But when you don't take good care of it, it might be possessed by spirits. Possession naturally leads to mental confusion, lack of concentration, and other mental problems.
